When KAPE members retire with their membership in good standing, they have the option of keeping an associate membership for FREE for lifetime membership in order to keep getting updates and information that might affect their retirement benefits.  KAPE asks that they send us an updated email address and contact information when they begin their retirement.  However, please remember that a retired membership does NOT include insurance coverage, and if you plan to be a sub teacher upon retirement, you need to renew your membership for full membership dues to continue your coverage and the other benefits that come with full membership.
